Hi Matt,
Just wondering if you would mind sharing with us all how you started down the kinstretch path and what you went through and also what your current training schedule looks like, I am loving the program so far my hips have never felt so mobile!!!
Hey John! I was an Orange Theory Fitness coach for two years, then began personal training on the side. Soon after starting to personal train, I realized that I had much more passion for helping individuals achieve specific goals and address dysfunction rather than general large group training.
After roughly one year, I randomly met a coach in a coffee shop who invited me to a class called Kinstretch. He swore by it and so I had to try it myself. within 24 hours of taking the class, I signed up for my first Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist certification.
I could see it and feel it so clearly that this style and approach was the best way to train, period. I was completely convinced this was how I wanted to help people. This was in 2019. Since then my whole business and how I trained people changed to this viewpoint and approach. Since then I have completed every Functional Range System's certification for non-therapists.
1. Functional Range Condition MobilitySpecialist
2. Functional Range Assessment
3. Kinstretch
4. Functional Range Internal Strength Model
So Kinstretch represents the group style of training built off of the individual approach the FRS system teaches.
