Spine & Neck Classes

This collection of videos is focused on improving the function of the spine and neck (extension of the spine). The spine is built of 24 individual vertebrae, with a gel-like disc between each vertebrae. Learning to segment (flex and extend) through as many of these vertebrae will create a strong foundation to all movement.

  • Short Neck Class 1: Build From All Angles

    This is a neck class focused on flexion, extension, lateral flexion, and rotation. This is a great class for anyone looking to create a robust base/foundation for all neck training.

    Props needed: Bench/chair/couch

  • Spine & Neck Class 01: Segmentation & Rotation Basics

    This is a spine and neck-focused class. Our focus is flexion/extension

    Props needed: one yoga block, 1 lacrosse ball/socks, seat/bench

  • Spine & Neck Class 02: Sit Ups, Side Planks & Jefferson Curls

    This is a spine and neck-focused class. Our focus is flexion, rotation & anti-lateral flexion

    Props needed: Seat/bench and foot anchor (for sit-ups)

    Props needed: Static strap or heavy band, two yoga blocks

    Props needed: Bench/seat, and a hand anchor point (same this we need to anchor our feet for sit-ups)

    This is a spine and neck-focused class. Our focus is flexion/extension, lateral flexion, and rotation

    Props needed: light-medium band, low/medium height band anchor point, pole/stick/broom, and a seat/bench

    Props needed: Light-medium band, low/medium height band anchor, foot anchor (for sit-ups)

    This is a spine class focused on flexion and core strength. Today we have a guest with us to help teach the class. It's always a treat with a student in class to help better understand cues.

    Props needed: seat/bench, foam roller/yoga block, and a hand anchor point (same as sit-up anchor)

    This is a spine class focused on flexion, extension, and rotation. If you've wanted to dial in better control of your spine, this is a great class to take. I often use this video as a new client intro to spine, but even advanced students will benefit.

    This is a spine class focused on challenging segmentation in multiple base positions.

    Props needed: Seat/bench, foam roller/yoga block, light band, one stick/pole, hand anchor point (same as sit up anchor)

    This is a spine class focused on flexion (segmentation) and rotation. This is a foundation class that helps increase general and specific control of the spine.
